Outerview is owned and operated by RawNorth LLC, based in Ketchikan, Alaska. We were founded by partners with a deep background in Human Resources Management and a firsthand understanding of the seasonal workforce that powers Alaska's outdoor economy.
We built Outerview because we lived the problem. Small Alaska employers — fishing charters, wilderness lodges, tour operators, canneries — spend enormous time every season searching for reliable seasonal workers, often with little HR support and no tools designed for their unique needs. Job seekers, on the other hand, couldn't find Alaska-specific opportunities in one focused place.
Outerview exists to close that gap.

And we believe every small Alaska business deserves professional HR guidance without the cost of a full-time HR department.

Southeast Alaska's workforce challenge
Ketchikan is Alaska's southernmost city — and one of its most economically dynamic. Each summer, the population swells with cruise ship visitors, seasonal workers, fishing crews, and tourists drawn to the region's unmatched wilderness. Ketchikan is home to world-class sportfishing, lush temperate rainforest, and a thriving hospitality industry built around Tongass National Forest.
But that seasonal surge creates an annual challenge. Outerview was built in Ketchikan because this is where the need is sharpest — and where we know the employers, the waters, the wilderness, and the workforce best. But our platform serves all of Southeast Alaska and beyond, connecting workers with opportunities from Ketchikan to Juneau, Sitka, Wrangell, and into the Alaska interior.
